Texting Scavenger Hunt

For all ages who know how to text and want to search for clues and solve riddles
The Abington Art Center Sculpture Park is the scene of this adventure.
Runs now through the fall.        
Use technology for this interactive, location-based mobile game. Players simply text a keyword to the number provided and their first clue arrives on their phone within moments. Players can ask for hints, refer to the Sculpture Park map, work in teams, or go it solo. The most important part of the adventure is the sculptures which hold the answers. So this is an “eye-catching” activity to see how observant each participant can be.
Cost to play determined solely by one’s texting plan.  Unlimited texting means unlimited play!

Baby, it’s cold outside! We may be able to bundle up in sweaters, jackets and mittens or go into our nice, heated homes and drink hot chocolate, but what about animals? What about plants?  Pennsylvania’s plants and animals have all sorts of adaptations to winter’s cold temperatures and longer nights. Migrate on over to Briar Bush to join The Nature Geek for this cool program…just make sure you don’t hibernate through it!

PAL is open Fridays & Saturdays from 7:00-11:00 p.m. It offers a changing variety of recreational activities and educational programs. It is a place to hang out with friends! Activities free. Refreshments sold. Supervised by site director and managers, police officers, and volunteers. More volunteers always needed! (See “Volunteer Opportunities.”)

Knitting Basics

For those ages 9 and up
Bring your own needles, at least a size 10. Bring a ball of worsted weight yarn, No. 4 in a solid color.
