Parent & Child Swim Lessons
Shrimp 6-8 months; Kipper 9-12 months Inia 13-18 months Perch 19 months-3 years and Perch Plus for 2 and 3-year-olds as well as 4-year-olds not ready to swim without a parent
Parents guided through basic swimming skills with child. Child must have head control and be accompanied by an adult in the water at all times
Held at Abington YMCA pool
Classes 30 minutes long and offered on selected days Mondays through Saturdays

Pre-School Swimming Lessons
Learn fundamentals of swimming with emphasis on personal safety and developing strength, endurance, and coordination
Cost: $45 for Full members, $90 for Program members
Pike: ages 3-5 Beginners
Pike Advanced: Child can submerge head comfortably
Eel: ages 3-6 Intermediate
Ray: ages 4-6 Advanced Children can swim 1/2 pool length
Starfish: Children can swim one pool length

Youth Swimming Lessons
For children ages 6-12
45-minute classes
Cost: $58 for Full members, $116 for Program members
Late Fall Session October 27-December 14
Pollywog: Beginners ages 6-12
Pollywog Advanced: child can submerge head
Guppy: Beginners II ges 6-12 Introduces rhythmic breathing & stroke development
Minnow: Intermediate I ages 6-12 Can swim one pool length on frontand back
Fish: Intermediate II ages 7-14 Can swim 2 pool lengths crawl & backstroke
Flying Fish: Advanced ages 8-14 Can swim 3 pool lengthsPre Competitive Swim Team
For ages 7 and up Must have completed the Minnow level.
Program introduces children to competitive swimming. Includes practice schedules, sets, stroke development, starts and turns
Cost: $125 for Full members; $250 for Program members Covers up to attendance at 4 practices/week for 7 weeks at Abington High School pool

Intro to Water Play
For ages 6-12 with advanced swimming abilities
A get moving class!  Play a different sport in the pool each week

Cost:  $58 members; $116 non-members

Teen & Adult Swimming Lessons
