June 29  West Philadelphia Orchestra USA  Wall of brass and drums  Since 2006, mashup blend of Balkan brass, free jazz, and global beats.  Newest album: Tour de Filli,  With cutting brass, searing woodwinds and some of the tightest beats around, West Lose yourself in earthy sounds that shake, break, and roll.
July 6  Okwy Osadebe, Nigeria  Oldest living son of the late king of Highlife music, Chief Osita Osadebe. Singing and performing a unique form of dance music called “Egwu Ekobe”  Chief Osadebe believes in the power and love of music; current album  “Odira”
July 13   Tribu Baharu, Columbia  Afro-champeta music crew from Bogotá, Colombia. Sound emerged from Colombian Caribbean with influences from the “Pico” culture of Barranquilla and Cartagena.  Since 2009.  Have played many prestigious venues, including SXSW; globalFEST in New York, WOMEX in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, Chicago, Il; Montreal Jazz Festival
July 20  Septeto Santiaguero, Cuba  Foremost music ensemble on the current Cuban scene.  Since 9995 .  Takes contemporary perspective to the septeto format.  current release:  Tributu a Los Compadres, a collaboration with Jose ‘El Canario’ Alberto – 2016 Grammy nomination in the Tropical Latin category and a 2015 Latin Grammy win.
