2006 Recognition Reception Honoree:
Danielle Butler
Senior Director, Alliance Partnerships
America’s Promise – The Alliance for Youth

Danielle has been with America’s Promise since 2002. During her tenure she has helped develop two national youth leadership programs; the Youth Partnership Team and the Five Promises Ambassadors Network. Combined, these programs engage hundreds of young people in service and leadership around the five promises: caring adults who are actively involved in young people’s lives, safe places in which to learn and grow, a healthy start toward adulthood, an effective education that builds marketable skills, and opportunities to help others.

In her current role as Senior Director of Alliance Partnerships, she manages the 100 Best Communities for Young People project, a national competition inaugurated in 2005 to recognize communities for their innovative programs that support children and youth. During the 2005 contest, she was assigned to support the “100 Best” applications from the Northeast Region of the United States, including Abington. In this role, Danielle learned firsthand that Abington was a winner!!!

Danielle’s job responsibilities also include managing a portfolio of partnerships with organizations focused on mentoring and those that support disadvantaged and at-risk youth. She received both her Bachelors of Arts in Government and her Master’s in Public Administration from Cornell University.
