Reformation
Day This marks the anniversary of the beginning of
the Protestant Reformation on October 31, 1517. It commemorates
the day when Dr. Martin Luther, a Roman Catholic monk and
university professor, posted his Ninety-Five Theses on the
door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany. This act
was meant to start an academic debate but triggered the movement
in world history known as the Reformation.
