Wednesdays in Lent  During the Christian church season of Lent leading up to Easter Christians may attend special Wednesday Lenten services that focus on this season of reflection and repentance

Lent This 40-day period begins in Western Christian churches on Ash Wednesday and ends on March 22, the Saturday before Easter. In the Roman Catholic Church, Lent ends at sundown on March 20, the Thursday before Easter, with the beginning of the Lord's Supper. Sundays are not counted as part of the 40 days because they commemorate the Resurrection. Lent calls Christians to a period of reflection and repentance in preparation for Easter.

Men, women, and children are all invited to these services. The same divine service is used in every place. It promotes fellowship, understanding, and action. St. Patrick's Day Commemorates the patrol saint of Ireland who served as this country's bishop for 30 years and died on March 17, 461. Originally a Roman Catholic holy day, it has evolved into more of a secular celebration. It has been celebrated in the United States since 1737. Purim takes place on the fourteenth and fifteenth days of Adar, the twelfth month of the Jewish calendar.
