Feast of the Epiphany or Three Kings Day The first day of the Christian church season of Epiphany occurs the day after the 12th day of Christmas and is known as Three Kings Day in the Hispanic culture and parts of Europe. On this day, Western Christians remember the three wise men who came to present gifts to the Christ child, thereby “making know” or “revealing” (the meaning of the word epiphany) to the world Jesus as Lord and King. In the Eastern Christian Church, this day is known as Theophany and celebrates the manifestation of Jesus as Christ.
