All Saints' Day A Christian Feast day commemorating all the saints, which may include those named by the Church, those not known by name, and special remembrance of loved ones who have died in the past year. All Saints' Day is a Christian holy day observed by many Western churches (especially Roman Catholics, Anglicans, Episcopalians, and Lutherans) on November 1 and by Eastern churches on the first Sunday after Pentecost. It is a day of obligation when Roman Catholics attend Mass. Protestant churches often observe this day at worship services the first Sunday in November.

Thanksgiving Day Celebrated the fourth Thursday in November by presidential proclamation, Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for the many good things in one's life. Families and friends gather for a traditional holiday meal that typically includes turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. The first Thanksgiving was celebrated in America by the Pilgrims who came here for religious freedom and the Native American Indians who taught them how to survive and grow crops here.
